Let’s Move & Let’s Love
Going to a Catholic School at an early age I was exposed in helping the poor, also my mom was the big factor because she was a Christian Living teacher at that time. I was there helping her every time they had a feeding program in school.
As a teen I unconsciously was following her steps. I was a member of a Christian Group where our advocacy was to help poor people. We had a feeding and lectures for kids who can’t go to school, we teach them all the subjects in school.
But I shifted when my mom died; the love for the poor was gone. The advocacy for the poor people became a protest. The passion of helping them was completely gone.
Just last year when I renewed my faith in Christ, I became active in the church. The passion of helping the poor was once again revived and the advocacy of helping the live on. I am now a part of our Inner City Ministry where our objective is to reach out people living in streets and other depressed areas; sharing with/to them the message of our God enunciated in the Holy Bible. The love for the poor lives on.
